What is the source of your data? Why is there a potential error in the financial data?

We use S&P Global CapitalIQ as one of our data partners which is considered a gold standard for financial data. Most hedge funds pay tens of thousands of dollars for this data, so we're thrilled to be able to democratize access to this data for individual investors!

The Financials Tab on TIKR tends to be GAAP data, although, CapitalIQ standardizes it for comparability purposes across companies. Therefore, while the data is highly accurate, line items can be recategorized by CapitalIQ for better comparability.
 
Estimates Tab, on the other hand, is an aggregation of Wall Street analyst numbers so it tends to be adjusted / Non-GAAP data. Historicals are actuals while forward years are forecasts. All data in this tab are adjusted and normalized by Wall Street analysts. You can find the number of analysts that cover the company by going to Valuation > Street Targets.
