We use S&P Global CapitalIQ and Morningstar as a few of our data partners which are considered a gold standard for financial data. Most hedge funds pay tens of thousands of dollars for this data, so we're thrilled to be able to democratize access to this data for individual investors!
The Financials Tab on TIKR tends to be GAAP data, although, CapitalIQ standardizes it for comparability purposes across companies. Therefore, while the data is highly accurate, line items can be recategorized by CapitalIQ for better comparability.
Estimates Tab, on the other hand, is an aggregation of Wall Street analyst numbers so it tends to be adjusted / Non-GAAP data. Historicals are actuals while forward years are forecasts. All data in this tab are adjusted and normalized by Wall Street analysts. You can find the number of analysts that cover the company by going to Valuation > Street Targets.
In addition to our primary data partners, we also use Financial Modeling Prep (FMP) as a secondary dataset to further enhance coverage and reliability. FMP provides structured access to real-time and historical financial statements for thousands of public companies through their developer-friendly APIs. Their dataset includes detailed income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements with over 10 years of historical data, trailing twelve-month (TTM) metrics, and continuous updates.
FMP’s data is widely used by investment researchers, financial analytics platforms, academic institutions, and enterprise reporting systems, and is trusted by leading organizations such as Citadel, RBC Capital Markets, and Harvard Business School. By leveraging FMP alongside S&P Global CapitalIQ and Morningstar, we’re able to offer TIKR users robust and diversified financial data coverage across global markets.
If you still believe there is an error in the financial data, please feel free to reach out to us at support@tikr.com.
